Greetings everyone!
Note to subscribers: I had written the opening paragraphs to this letter just prior to the last day of February and the full moon on 3 March, intending to send this letter a full month ago. I will leave them in place. Since the war started events have put off this letter until now. Pisces represents endings and new starts, and we are seeing that in full view of events over the past month. With that said, here we go…
The Olympics have finally come and gone. The Italians on the whole were rather pleased with the sport, presentation and organization. They have decided from now on when we have the Olympics here to have them in several places, as people seemed to really enjoy the idea. Of course not everyone was happy. There is the pollution factor of having to go back and forth between events, but on the whole we heard very little complaining. And lo and behold, even though we are not known for winter sport especially, we came in third in the total number of metals – behind Norway who came in first (which is no surprise) and the US, which is also no surprise. There was a panel discussion on the Olympics itself after the fact, with that particular session we listened to commenting on the food, of which Italians are rightly proud. Apparently the American teams couldn’t get over it. They especially liked the Italian pizza, and I can tell you from experience Americans on the whole have never tasted real Italian pizza. Of course, we’re a little bit biased here. Every time I go back to the US my family likes to go to a couple of what they call ‘Italian’ restaurants. I go along for the for the visit, but Americanized Italian food is not what Italians would call real Italian cuisine, unless one goes to New York to Little Italy, for instance. There you can get some authentic Italian food.
Pisces: We begin our look at Pisces for this letter with the following quote:
“This duality of Pisces must be studied in relation to its three keynotes which are:
In the first cycle of experience upon the [zodiacal] wheel, the soul itself is in captivity to substance; it has come down into the prison house of matter and linked itself to form. Hence the symbol of Pisces, of the two fishes linked together by a band. One fish stands for the soul and the other for the personality or form nature, and between them is to be found the “thread or sutratma,” the silver cord which keeps them bound to each other throughout the cycle of manifested life. Later on, upon the reversed wheel, the personality is brought into captivity by the soul, but for long aeons the situation is reversed and the soul is the prisoner of the personality. This dual bondage is brought to an end by what is called the final death, when the complete release of the life aspect from the life of form takes place. It should be borne in mind also that the soul itself is of the nature of form from the standpoint of the Monad, though it is a form far subtler than any that we know in the three worlds of human evolution.”[1]
In Buddhism the soul (higher Self/spiritual Triad) lives – is in incarnation – in the realms of the demigods and gods (the buddhic and atmic planes, resp.). When through the process of initiation we have mastered the atmic plane we ‘become as gods’, or ‘like unto God’, as it were. From the human perspective the soul is eternal, but only relatively so, placing the matter in context. As such, and as a form, the soul (the higher Self) is what in Buddhism is called a ‘subtle obscuration to omniscience’. From the quote above this is referenced as, “…it is a form far subtler than any that we know in the three worlds of human evolution.” Omniscience comes – and even then only relatively so – when we attain monadic Being and transcend even consciousness. This is overcome at the 5th initiation wherein the higher Self is released from its duties as an instrument of service via human incarnation. This is a very simplistic explanation. But zodiacal rulerships go far beyond the human realms and onward into realms of universal Being.
In its most esoteric interpretation, the sign Pisces represents final release, firstly of the bondage of the soul to the personality, then to the release of the soul from the monad to go on its own way from the monad, and finally release of the monad from the cosmic physical plane in toto. It also rules the ultimate liberation from our planetary system, represented in the Lives Who comprise what are enumerated in the Bailey material as the 12 Creative Hierarchies.[2] Pisces rules the first of those Hierarchies, counting from the ‘top down’, or from the most sublime to the densest lives in materiality. From that point onward our concept of ‘being’, knowing that words are completely inadequate at that point, moves outward into the universe at large, even away from our local universe.
The concepts stated here are meant to convey the idea that Pisces at every step on the Path represents liberation from the necessity to be connected with (attached to) any form. Thus we have the combined esoteric and highest rulers of Pisces, which is Pluto. Pluto serves to cut our ties with forms of any type, and thereby our past. Every form is an end result of causes. Every form is an effect. Pluto relieves us of the burdens of our past and ends karmic entanglements. This concept will become useful and illustrative as we move on to our considerations of current events, because we are at the ‘beginning of the end’ of a long karmic path and we are thereby facing a wide open door of opportunities.
Turning the wheel: The preceding statements introduce a concept regarding spiritual evolution about which we have not covered in these letters through the years. There are actually three astrological turnings of the wheel, to borrow a Buddhist concept and to put the matter symbolically. The first turning is the experience of the soul in matter represented by the clockwise motion around the astrological dial running from Pisces to Aquarius and successively through each sign ending at the 1st degree of Aries. That represents our many, many lives spent with our focus primarily on material concerns. That includes physical, emotional and mental concerns, self-focused. The second turning, if you will, is commenced when the so-called wheel is reversed in Libra, and the cycle through the zodiac begins from the 1st degree of Aries successively through each sign ending in the last degree of Pisces.
The end of the second turning stands for “…the death of the personality and the release of the soul from captivity and its return into the task of the world Savior.”[3] However, there is another round of the zodiac through which to go. Symbolically, this third turning, like the second, runs from Aries to Taurus and successively through the signs, ending in Pisces, wherein we have the final liberation from the cosmic physical plane itself – entry into full buddhahood. In Alice Bailey’s Esoteric Astrology this final release is represented for us in the first creative hierarchy counting from the top down, which is ruled by the sign Pisces. This hierarchy of Lives is unnamed, but expresses the energy of ‘Intelligent Substance’. With this third turning of the zodiacal wheel, there is little about which we can comment, except to make a few points.
Cutting the ties: Seeing that Pluto, as the esoteric ruler of Pisces, cuts our ties to the past, that we are passing from one zodiacal sign to another, that we are passing from the Stage of the Forerunner to what we might call the Stage of Emergence and finally that we are passing from the influence of the 6th ray to that of the 7th – from the age of idealism to the age of order – we have the following quote. The quote that follows presents us with our current situation, writ large, with consequences that will change our world profoundly over the next few years, as follows:
“Christ came to bring to an end the Jewish dispensation which should have climaxed and passed away as a religion with the movement of the sun out of Aries into Pisces. He, therefore, presented Himself to them as their Messiah, manifesting through the Jewish race. In the rejection of the Christ as the Messiah, the Jewish race has remained symbolically and practically in the sign Aries, the Scapegoat; they have to pass—again speaking symbolically—into the sign, Pisces, the Fishes, and recognise their Messiah when He comes again in the sign Aquarius. Otherwise, they will repeat their ancient sin of non-response to the evolutionary process. They rejected that which was new and spiritual in the desert; they did it again in Palestine two thousand years ago; will they do it again, as opportunity is offered to them? The difficulty with the Jew is that he remains satisfied with the religion of nearly five thousand years ago and shows as yet little desire to change.”[4]
By and large, we will leave the quote above for contemplation, though the meaning is clear enough. If we replace ‘Jewish race’ with ‘orthodox Jewry’ then the meaning becomes clearer. But the major battle before us, with Iran and the Palestinians taking the brunt of it at the moment, is because the Zionist factions focused in the materialist Jewish and secular Zionist elites, have refocused their efforts again in Palestine, this time not in a desire to return to a so-called holy land, though they may claim so, but instead because of that land’s proximity to certain resources and trading routes. The Zionists have refused once again to reject the past and have made their stand in Palestine. So be it. Hence we have our present troubles in that region. With all the preceding in mind we move on to the full moon and current events.
The full moon took place on 3 March 2026 at 11:38 UTC (22:38 AEDT). The full moon was also a total lunar eclipse which was partially visible over Eastern Australia. There is a report on the eclipse itself on the blog site which you can read for the planetary dynamics. This eclipse is the companion eclipse to the annular solar eclipse which we had two weeks previously. These two eclipses marked the end of the astrological year for 2026, as well as ushering in the Aries quarter for this year. The Aries quarter starts on 20 March at 14:46 UTC. The Aries ingress figure is covered in a separate blog post. Overall the next quarter will be less violent than the two previous quarters as we move into it. Instead, what we will see in the next quarter are major moves in geopolitics, finance and economics, the result of events that will come from these two eclipses.
There is little more to say about the full moon/eclipse since it has been covered in the blog post except for one point: The first Mars activation of the 3 March eclipse took place on the 18th of March, a day before the new moon. That activation saw a very sharp escalation in the war, a provocation which was the bombing of Iranian gas facilities by joint US-Israeli air strikes and a projectile landing near the Bushehr nuclear facility on Iran’s coast. It appears that with those two strikes the Empire has gone all-in, or is seeking to provoke Iran to overreact, to be covered below. So for now, we move on to our look at current events and the war in West Asia.
Current events: the following events of taken place since the last letter:
Another turning point: We are bearing witness to a great occult and geopolitical event with this war. What we are seeing and will likely see in the next few months and years ahead can be listed as follows:
Is this too much to imagine? Most of the points above will be dismissed and laughed off as wishful thinking, especially for people imbued with the sense of Western exceptionalism. But actually what we are witnessing is the beginning of the end of long colonial and imperialistic ambitions as we enter a new cycle. The reasoning behind these points are each discussed in interviews in the Suggested Viewing, below. Since this is such a large event it will be expanded upon in the next few letters. The remainder of this letter will be background for future letters, and those will come in quick succession. We start our look at these events with a historical rhyme.
America’s neo-Crassus: Marcus Licinius Crassus was a Roman general and statesman in the Roman Republic who played a key role in the transformation of the Roman Republic into the Roman Empire through his misadventures. He was known for having amassed an enormous fortune through property speculation. He was a political and financial patron of Julius Caesar and for his patronage of Caesar he was awarded the governorship of the province of Syria. Caesar and Crassus were two legs of the First Triumvirate, along with Pompey forming the third. Because of his huge ego, his lust for wealth and power, Crassus decided to lead a military campaign of conquest into the
neighboring Parthian Empire, which covered all of present-day Iran. The military campaign was a complete disaster, his army wiped out by Parthian asymmetric warfare. Crassus was killed in the conflict, with various legends about his death, such as molten gold being poured down his throat to mock his thirst for wealth or his severed head being sent to a wedding ceremony in Parthia to be used as a prop in a play. That wasn’t the important part of the story, though.
With Crassus gone Caesar found himself at odds with Pompey, leading to civil wars within the Roman Republic, which eventually led to its end. With this butchery and merest thumbnail sketch of ancient Roman history we see parallels with today, with the focus being on imperialist designs on territory, wealth and resources. Such conquests lead ultimately to corruption and miscalculations contributing to the end of republics. We at present have a leader who gained great wealth through real estate – often through less than honorable means – who was granted dominion over certain territory (the US), with connections to Syria (history rhymes again), who has decided against all advice to go up against what was once the Parthian Empire, with a mind to taking over its wealth, only likely to be defeated once again, thereby to meet his fate. As to what happens to the great republic over which he currently presides, who can say? But the great armed services of the republic are facing strategic defeat in West Asia as we speak. So, how did we get to our present point? How and why did the Washington establishment choose to rush in where previously there was better sense?
Trump’s path to war: In past letters we have examined Trump’s vulnerability to being deceived, which also corresponds by the same astrological aspect with his tendency to live in a world of hunches and fantasies (Mercury square Neptune, with Mercury ruling his Gemini Sun). During his last presidential campaign there were two assassination attempts on his life. There were factions within Washington who tried to spin those attempts on being backed by Iran. They were ultimately successful in convincing Trump that it was so, even though the accusations were false. Trump became paranoid about Iran trying to assassinate him. The claims were meant to facilitate Trump’s approval for an attack on Iran. The Grayzone did an exposition on this. Trump’s connection with Chabad Lubavitch was also a major contributing factor in the American attack on Iran. Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff were also key in pushing Trump toward attacking Iran. Both of those men are also connected with Chabad Lubavitch. In fact many of Trump’s major donors are connected with the organization as well. The American right in particular has had a visceral hatred of Iran ever since the 1979 Iranian revolution which ousted the Shah.
Rapturous applause:
And then, there is the Zionist connection with American evangelical Christians, said to be some 30% of Trump’s voter base, who have a real and very misguided fetish about provoking a regional conflict that would bring about the destruction of Israel, leading to their fantasy of the Rapture. This was recently outlined in the video below by Neutrality Studies. With all this said, on February 28th Operation Epic Fury was launched in concert with Israel’s Operation Roaring Lion. Then Iran’s almost immediate commencement of Operation True Promise 4 in retaliation for the US-Israeli strikes brings us to our present considerations. Repeating, why has there been this rush to war under Trump v. 2.0, though, when previous US administrations have wisely held back from doing so?
The China syndrome: I have read many reasons for why America is launching this war now, but in a recent interview Michael Hudson gave us the real reason why, listed in the Suggested Viewing below. It is because of the rise of China and the emergence of Iran as a key hub in Russia’s and China’s plans for alternative payment systems and transport routes that challenge American and Western primacy, as follows, first regarding Israel:
“…the United States, from the very beginning, has said, well, we don’t want to have to bear the expense of fighting with our own army in foreign countries, because our own army loses every fight we’re in. We lost in Vietnam. We lost in Afghanistan. We don’t want to get involved in the Near East because it’s a hornet’s nest. So we have two client armies. First of all, they depended on Israel to control the region, and now, with Israel, which is allied with al-Qaeda…And America has thrown its whole support for the last few decades behind al Qaeda to essentially terrorize, first Iraq and then, tear Syria apart, from that side. And, al Qaeda and ISIS have worked hand in hand with Israel, never ever attacking each other…So, of course, there’s, let’s say, a harmony of interest between Israel and the United States. And that harmony of interest goes way beyond merely the fact that Israel and Zionists contribute a lot to American political candidates, because essentially, Congress gives large monetary grants to Israel. Israel takes some of the monetary grants and recycles them into AIPAC and other groups to back the politicians who’ve given Israel the money that ends up partly recycled into their own pockets. Well, look at what was said yesterday or two days ago. He [Rubio] said, “Well, we knew that Israel was going to attack Iran because for the last fifteen years or so, Netanyahu said again and again the fiction, the great lie, that it was about creating an atom bomb.”
Watch the entire video if you want a real education about why the US has done what it has in terms of foreign policy since WWII. The US and Israel have become a single entity when it comes to West Asia, or the Near East as Hudson calls the region. He goes on to say that the war with Iran is about oil, because control of oil is such an important factor in the American balance of payments:
“…the entire thrust of the United States foreign policy for the last seventy years is to prevent the free flow of oil to other countries. It’s been to isolate access to all the countries that are not willing to give up control of their foreign policy or agree to price their oil in dollars. And since nineteen seventy four, when OPEC quadrupled its oil prices, to agree that they’re going to save all of the export earnings in dollars by recycling them to the United States to invest in US Treasury securities as their savings, US bonds, and US stocks. The petrodollar trade.”
It’s a gas, gas, gas!: There is another wrinkle to this war, though. Yes, the US wages war for oil, but winning wars is not the point. The Empire doesn’t need to win wars to control the oil. It only needs to remove the governments that refuse to pay for oil in US dollars. And it seeks a new paradigm now – what Richard Medhurst has called the petro-gas dollar. The US is the world’s leading exporter of LNG, obtained through fracking, a process that is steadily ruining the groundwater of the US. 88% of US LNG is obtained through fracking. And Big Oil in the US wants to be the dominant player in the field far into the future. That is why Nord Stream was struck, which isolated Europe from Russian gas and made the continent dependent upon expensive American freedom molecules. And who is the main competitor to US LNG? If you guessed Qatar you would be correct, followed in order by Australia, Russia, Canada and Mozambique. The Israelis (the US) just struck Iran’s gas field, which caused retaliation by Iran on Qatar’s LNG production facilities, knocking out 15% of Qatar’s production – for years. Qatar has been allowing strikes on Iran from US bases in Qatar. It is not hard to see where this is headed. The US would be more than happy to see the competition for LNG gone. But there is a hitch.
The Washington establishment has for years sought to bring Iran back into the US dollar fold, which was one of the main purposes of the JCPOA. Sanctions relief was the carrot dangled in front of the Iranians to keep them on board with the West. The Iranian nuclear program was never really at issue, but was used as the cover for keeping the sanctions imposed on Iran. All along the Iranians complied with the deal, but the sanctions were never removed. The sanctions were kept in place to keep the Iranians down and weak. And during all that time the Western powers fooled themselves into believing Iran would at some point capitulate or that the society would rise up and throw out ‘the mullahs’. These were serious miscalculations on the part of the Mossad and American intelligence services. Quietly, secretly, the Iranians were building their defenses, with the more important side of that being placed totally underground, to the point the US and Israel believed the Iranians had only very few defenses. We need to come to terms with the fact that the Iranians are neither weak nor backwards, nor even fractured to the extent that the West believes them to be.
What is the real Iran?: Opinions vary. In 2018 I posted two articles on Iran, referenced in past letters, which at the time was a dive into understanding the true Iran and why the US wanted war with Iran even then. We in the West hear mostly myths about modern Iran and its culture, which is actually wide and diverse. You can read the articles I posted here and here if you haven’t already. When this war broke out there was a flood of anti-government propaganda regarding Iran. The reporting of allegedly 30,000 Iranians dead from the recent riots is a case in point. That claim was made by a fashion blogger with no basis in fact but was seized upon by the Western press and parroted with great acclaim across social media to smear ‘the Iranian regime’. The actual figure was somewhere just north of 3,000 Iranians killed, most of them killed by agitators with foreign backing.
At the outbreak of the war there was a torrent of reports of Iranians dancing in the streets celebrating the assassination of Khamenei. Among the Iranian diaspora that was largely true. They are the wealthier Iranians and their progeny who had lived very comfortably under the Shah while the bulk of the population lived in poverty and fear. The expat community was hijacked by monarchist elements at the start of this war, ignoring what life under the Shah was like and seeing how foreign interventions by the US in other nations always left those nations wrecked and in chaos. But in Iran, Khamenei’s death, while celebrated by some,[5] hardened the nation against the US and Israel and galvanized resistance against the attacks. Even old monarchists who still live there are beginning to turn against the West. The monarchists are largely concentrated in neighborhoods of the larger cities of Iran. Every day, and especially at night, the people of Iran pour out into the streets in defiance of the bombings. while mourning the martyrdom of their leaders and slain innocents. In the West we hear nothing about that. It is blacked out in Western legacy media and the algorithms in social media throttle coverage of those pro-government demonstrations to a trickle.
To see the Iranian side one has to go to sites like Fars News, Mehr News, Tasnim News and Press TV. One might say, looking at the latter sites, that it is all government propaganda. But that is what people outside the West – and an increasing number of Westerners – say about organizations like the BBC, CNN, CBS, Fox News, The Guardian, etc., etc. It’s a long list. The information war is very heavy at the moment, and we in the West are being increasingly exposed to the narrative that Iran is the aggressor in this war, when in fact it was the US and Israel who attacked Iran, had sought to undermine Iran for years and ignited the war. This background brings us to the war itself.
Objectives: What do we know so far about the objectives of each of the parties in this war? We might enumerate them as follows:
The United States: The primary objective of the US in this war is regime change in Iran. Trump thought that the war would be a weekend deal, with the markets opening on Monday with Iran in disarray, its leadership having been decapitated, as the Americans and Israelis like to call it. As we know, this has failed. Washington has been trying to regime change Iran ever since the revolution. The Iran-Iraq War was the first attempt at it. The fact that Iran even then stood firm after having suffered horrendous casualties during that war should have been a red flag against attacking Iran again. The US and Europe both supported Saddam Hussein in his attack on Iran during that war. And that war lasted for eight years. The ultimate aim of Washington is to control Iran’s oil, for certain. But the wider objective is to open the door toward Washington’s destabilization of Central Asia and thereby the disruption of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, opening Russia’s underbelly in the Caucasus and southern border, and thereby preserving what they like to call their full-spectrum dominance, especially over Brzezinski’s heartland.
Israel: Israel’s objectives on the surface are quite clear with regard to Iran. They see Iran as the final remaining obstacle to control over the entire Middle East. With Iran out of the way the Arab Gulf monarchies would be easy targets and easily controlled and wiped away. Once the government
of Iran had collapsed and with the society in disarray, Iran could be more easily balkanized into cultural cantons and neutralized as a military power. Thus, they hoped, their Greater Israel project and hegemony over Southwest Asia could be fulfilled. But there was a wider objective also. Their wider objective has been the use of the US military as their instrument for the destruction of Iran. This they have sought to do for decades through their control and manipulation over members of Congress primarily. AIPAC has been the prime mover in that regard. However, the tech billionaires in the US and the Zionist control over the US media have served to influence and at times control US presidents and the American public. In the US, the President is supposed to be the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces. However the Israelis have established their agents in the Pentagon which have also been a major factor in military determinations that have led to the present conflict. Along with this we have seen the weaponization of terms like ‘anti-Semitism’ and control over social media used to shape the narrative regarding Iran.
Iran: The Iranians, like the Russians, have been very clear and steadfast about their objectives in this war. There are three main objectives on the Iranian side. They are:
There is also meant to be a solution for Palestine, noting there is no mention of Israel. It is widely known that the two state solution has been dead for a long time and further, was never really a serious prospect. Like the Russians intend to do with the SMO in Ukraine, the Iranians will push forward to see that the causes for this war are permanently removed. But at the conclusion of this war it will also be clear that Trump’s Board of Peace for Gaza and any dreams of a Riviera on the Mediterranean will remain as dreams. All of that is being dismantled in the prosecution of this war. Of course neither the United States nor Israel will agree to any of the Iranian objectives. Therefore, the war will continue, as we see in Ukraine until all the objectives are met. Iran is in control of this war in West Asia. Americans might not believe it, but the wider world watches all this with great interest. There are a couple of other minor groups in this conflict that should probably be mentioned. They are as follows:
The Western oligarchy: When it comes to war, especially in capitalist societies, always remember:
War is a racket.
There is a small group of people and a number of corporations who are making an absolute fortune from this war. We just had a demonstration of it. Trump had given the Iranians a 48-hour deadline to release control of the Strait of Hormuz, or else he would start striking Iranian power infrastructure. Iran countered saying the entire region would go dark if the US tried it. Trump backed off from his threat on Monday morning. Then this happened:
“BREAKING: Just five minutes before Trump’s announcement to halt the attacks on Iran, massive trades reportedly hit the market. In one move, $1.5 billion in S&P 500 (ES) futures was bought while $192 million in oil (CL) futures was sold. These orders were 4–6x larger than anything else at the time. The trader seemingly made huge gains. Unusual.”
‘Unusual’ is a word for what happened, yes. ‘Insider trading’ is another descriptive. And it is a criminal offense under US law. And it must be said that such fortunes are increasing on the backs of the suffering of the wider world. From the Iranian side the Iranians see this war as one of liberation from such oligarchs. There is a narrative out of Washington that this war is one of liberation for the people of Iran. The people of Iran by and large want nothing to do with United States.
The Gulf monarchies: The Gulf monarchies, if we remember our history, were formed starting
with the Sykes-Picot act and thereafter at the end of World War II. They are unwitting though active participants in this war. They knew full well what would happen if Iran was attacked, although a few of them like the Saudis had hoped that Iran would collapse. Now that Iran is winning and destroying the bases on the lands of these monarchies, they are facing a very uncertain future. At present they are scrambling trying to find some sort of diplomatic resolution to this war. The Iranians are having none of it. The Americans and the Israelis have shown themselves to be non-agreement capable. The monarchies, except for Oman and to a lesser extent Qatar, have actually tried to sabotage Iran at every step. This is particularly true of the Saudis and the Emiratis.
The Emiratis have been the prime instigators of American-Israeli plans in the region, which has given the US and the Saudis plausible deniability for their Machiavellian plans there. They were also behind the imprisonment of Imran Khan in Pakistan. At the same time the Americans have also betrayed the monarchies by pulling air defenses away from the monarchies to protect Israel. The monarchies now find themselves in a very precarious position, with the specter of their oil infrastructure being destroyed and their water desalination plants either destroyed or made inoperable. They are also facing unrest within their own countries. The outlook for these monarchies is bleak indeed. They are facing fundamental and existential choices – either stay with the West and face destruction from Iran, or form a regional strategic security arrangement minus the Americans, which would mean turning toward Russia and China. Either way they find themselves in very unenviable situations. There will be no love lost for them if/when they go, except for the wealthy folks who go there and see the region as their playground.
The Iranian strategy:
Rather than collapsing into chaos, the Iranians have followed a very logical and strategic plan in their retaliation against Epic Fury and Roaring Lion. They have been preparing for this especially since the 2003 Iraq War, during which they observed the strategy and tactics of the coalition forces and drew many lessons from them. Firstly, they knew that the West likes to use overwhelming airpower and air dominance, using shock and awe tactics to throw the targeted nation into chaos. Clearly, that did not happen with Iran. The Western approach, which includes Israel, is to ‘cut off the head of the snake’ as they like to call it, which worked successfully in the case of Iraq. But Iran does not have a top-down command structure. They have what they call a mosaic defense structure. Each of the 31 regions in Iran has its own command-and-control, plus a 4-tier command replacement structure should the top commander be killed. Knowing that the West relies on airpower for its dominance, the Iranians moved all their essential military and industrial complexes deep underground, well out of reach of bombing campaigns. Neither the Americans nor the Israelis have even begun to touch the missile infrastructure underground in Iran. And for the more advanced missiles, those can be launched directly from silos underground, not requiring mobile missile launchers.
In terms of the missiles that have to be moved out of the extensive tunnels, the Iranians had constructed very convincing decoys, models which they had placed throughout the regions they knew would be bombed. The US and Israel have wasted a significant amount of their weaponry on these decoys. Along with that, and knowing that the West relies on airpower for dominance, the Iranians have invested heavily in air defense systems. Thus far, after almost 4 weeks, there are no videos of US or Israeli airplanes flying over Iran. There have been purported sightings, but those have been debunked by Western computer gamers as excerpts from computer wargames. That said, the Iranians are being heavily bombarded with standoff weapons.
The Americans and Israelis fly in close enough to launch missiles from their jets and then beat a hasty retreat. Those missiles fly at low altitudes and can evade air defenses. So, we see that even though the top leadership in Tehran has been targeted and in many cases killed, the mosaic defense strategy of the Iranian leadership guarantees that even if many of these 31 command centers are destroyed, the others will continue the battle as long as it takes. Iran has said that they can continue many months with their current rate of bombardment. In the meantime, the air defenses and standoff weaponry of the Western powers has become dangerously depleted.
As stated previously, the Iranians, having studied Western weaponry, tactics, and strategy intensively, have set up a checklist of their responses, which they are calmly following. The first thing they did was to strike all the radar installations throughout the region. This blinded the Americans and Israelis to incoming missiles. Frequently, the alarms never sounded in Israel when Iranian missiles approached. Corresponding with that, the Iranians used their old and slower missiles and drones to deplete the air defenses in the American bases and across Israel. When we see videos of Iranian missiles coming into Israel it is notable that there is little to no air defense being activated. Once the air defenses were enough depleted the Iranians started using more advanced missiles and started hitting all strategic military infrastructure in Israel, along with all the American bases in the region.
As the war progresses we see the Iranian strike list expanding. They started striking the aerial refueling tankers, fuel and ammo dumps across the region. Air strikes on Iran require the use of aerial refueling tankers. Iran has started to hit those tankers. Without those, American and Israeli jets cannot fly into Iran. They can get there, but they would not be able to return. For that reason, the aircraft carriers have been targeted. There is only one carrier now which remains on active duty in the region and it has been moved a thousand kilometers out to sea, hiding behind the coast of Oman in the Arabian Sea. The USS Gerald Ford had a large fire in the laundry room. That is the official story anyway. It is unknown if it was deliberately set or if they are hiding Iranian strikes on the carrier. But it is now out of commission and headed to Souda Bay in Crete and probably thereafter back to Norfolk where it will sit out the rest of the war. Investigations will be held as to whether or not the 600 sailors on the Ford who no longer have sleeping quarters actually sabotaged the ship. So, this war has demonstrated that these legacy military platforms like aircraft carriers are a thing of the past. For any enemy strong enough to fire on them, they cannot be used as a platform for force projection. And with the US military bases virtually destroyed, there is nowhere nearby to rearm and to resupply American ships.
At present we hear that American troops are being deployed throughout the region. There are rumors of a ground invasion, which would be suicidal for those forces. Firstly, an amphibious landing is impossible, given the mosquito fleet of the Iranians and its missile arsenals lining the Persian Gulf. The coastline of Iran is mountainous. Where would the troops establish a beachhead? Paratroop landing of forces into Iran is out of the question. American and Israeli warplanes cannot even approach the coast. And then there is a question of manpower. Iran has an army of a million soldiers. The Basij militias number in the neighborhood of 25 million reserves, with an estimated 600,000 trained members available for immediate call-up. From the war in Ukraine we saw that an invading force needs somewhere around a 3:1 advantage over the defending army, meaning to even attempt an invasion of Iran with an eye toward success would require at least 3 million troops. We cannot field anywhere near that number. And only about 10% of total active duty service members are combat-ready. Such an attempt at an invasion is the very definition of a fool’s errand. So, we begin to come to some conclusions about where this war may and likely will be headed.
The end of Empire: The system we have lived under in the West since the end of World War II has come to be known as the Anglo-American Empire. We don’t hear it called that in mainstream commentary, but for most analysts in independent media the term is well known. At the heart of the maintenance of said empire is control of finances, trade routes and energy. The major trade route up until very recently, at least for the West was transit through the Red Sea and the Suez Canal. This was in the immediate region of Europe, which relied on the Suez for much of their shipping – imports and exports. In addition, 20% of the world’s oil came out of the Persian Gulf. The oil shocks of the 1970s made reliance on the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf all too clear.
With the ousting of the Shah of Iran during the 1979 revolution and the nationalization of Iranian oil fields, American dominance in the region was put under threat. The Strait of Hormuz was no longer a guaranteed point of transit. One of the factors about 9/11 that receives little comment is that the wars that resulted from 9/11 were an effort to reassert that control – total American hegemony – over the region of the Persian Gulf and the Middle East. Thus, we had the doctrine of the seven countries in five years, with Iran meant to be the final domino to fall in that plan. It is worth noting that up until the 1979 revolution, there was little in the way of American military bases, meaning major military installations in the Persian Gulf region. That all changed after the Iranian revolution.
Doing a quick search on the major military installations in the region, the US military bases ringing the Persian Gulf and the Middle East were either constructed or vastly expanded after 1981, two years after the Iranian revolution. The expansion or establishment of those bases started in Jordan in 1981 (Muwaffaq Salti Air Base), followed by the Al-Dafra base in 1983, the Al Udeid base in 1996, the Victory Base Complex in Erbil in 2003 (a result of the 2003 Iraq war), the Dimona radar installation 2008, the Deir ez-Zor base in 2011, and a major radar base in the Negev desert. The naval base in Bahrain which has just been destroyed has been there since 1971. But the latter was the main naval base for the Persian Gulf. All of these sites have just been targeted and hit in Iran’s response to Operation Epic Fury. And now the Strait of Hormuz has been closed to all but a few nations due to insurance costs and fears of being struck if they try to run the Iranian gauntlet.
“If Iran withstands this shock, the American empire will end. And in fact, the lesson the Iranians are teaching all the Gulf states is that the Americans are not at all a protection, but on the contrary, a source of insecurity. The Iranians can’t say it, but the likely objective of this war for them—and this would be the real strategic catastrophe for the Americans—would be for all the Arab Gulf states to ask the Americans to pack their bags.
As I was saying earlier, when I heard the speech by [inaudible], I felt like crying, it was so… But on the other hand, in the war that is being waged, it may be the war for the end of the American empire. That is to say, if Iran holds out, if Iran achieves its objectives, well, that is indeed the end of the American empire. And that is an absolutely fascinating historical moment.”
It is indeed fascinating, and for many reasons, which we will outline in the next few letters. As it stands, the Americans and Europeans are being forced to flee the region without their bags, figuratively speaking and with nothing to which to return as far as military bases go. And Israel is being systematically dismantled with each wave of Iranian missiles. There have been 80 such waves of Iranian missiles thus far, with no sign of abating. But we should also be aware that the Americans think they can simply walk away from the war and it will be finished. The Iranians say otherwise. They are firm in their stance that the war will end when their objectives are met. Not before. What we hear out of the White House instead is pure fantasy – that the Iranian military has been wiped out, that the US loiters over Tehran with impunity, that the leadership has all been killed, and so on. If so, then riddle us this, Batman: How is it that Iranian missiles and drones continue to rain down on US bases and Israel, that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed to US-backed traffic, that petrol prices continue to rise and that we have not declared victory and walked away? Well, the Western propaganda machine is actually the West’s most powerful strategic weapon. All of this and more will be covered in subsequent letters.
In conclusion, this war is a precipitation, an event years in development. On the one side we see the forces of materialism acting upon what they see as their final chance to control the world’s energy and thereby the fate of nations. But their choice of energy is dubious and represents a misjudgment, a miscalculation. Oil and hydrocarbons are the legacy, the final gift of the passing age. Oil is governed by Neptune, focused through Pisces. And it is curious, is it not, that oil and natural gas are found beneath the earth, from the realms of Pluto. It is fitting, then, that this battle for control of that resource comes at the end of the Piscean age. But another energy is rising – that of the Sun – which can be had through solar heat and light, but also by the energy that enlivens and drives the solar orb, that of nuclear fusion. Our work with nuclear fission has given us the tools needed to understand how to produce the energy of fusion safely. And in that direction we are close to succeeding. The materialists are losing this war, despite what the Western media machine churns out on a daily basis. But the war will go on for some time, in varying stages. Not so easily will the materialists give up their plans and gains from the past. And in Palestine and the US we see ancient karma working out. It is all in timing and all of it is necessary if we are to move into a peaceful future free of nations being able to impose their will on other nations.
